Passage: Matthew 28:16 to 20
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all na7ons, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19,20a
The Great Commission, found in Ma6hew 28:19-20, serves as a powerful reminder of our calling as followers of Christ. Jesus commands us to “go therefore and make disciples of all nations,” emphasizing the importance of spreading the Gospel beyond our immediate surroundings. This mandate invites us into a life of purpose where every interaction can serve as an opportunity to share the love and teachings of Jesus.
As we step out in faith, we are not only fulfilling a divine command but also participating in the transformative work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of others. The call to make disciples is not just about conversion; it’s about nurturing relationships and guiding others in their spiritual journeys.
In embracing the Great Commission, we are reminded that we do not embark on this mission alone. Jesus assures us of his presence, stating, “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” This promise provides us with the courage and strength to overcome our fears and doubts.
Each of us has unique gifts and experiences that can be used to impact the world around us. As we engage in our communities, let us be intentional in our acMons and words, reflecting Christ’s love and grace.
The Great Commission is not merely a task; it is an invitation to live out our faith actively, knowing that every step we take in obedience is a step toward fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives and the lives of those we encounter.

Amen
